Keisha Turner, Manager Student Advising at NSCC hosted a workshop on Black Student Success: Why it Matters. This interactive workshop will give you some tools to help build confidence in working with Black Students in PWI’s. Keisha will encourage deep introspection, discussion and incorporate different activities to help you explore your understanding of what it means for Black students to be on your campuses learning, growing and ultimately, being successful throughout their educational journeys.

AACUSS Presents: Implementing Socially Just Assessment in Student Affairs

University allies of social justice are facilitating conversations around equity, diversity, and inclusion to develop impactful programs and services. Assessment is the mechanism to measure impact, identify gaps, and expose disparities. This session provides an overview of the tenants of socially just assessment with focus on how to ensure that our assessment process is culturally responsive, actively minimizes bias, and respects the dignity and differences of students.
