Throughout Winter 2021, AACUSS will host several sessions for members on a wide-range of topics. This session is presented by Matthew MacLean, Mental Health Strategist at University of New Brunswick.

A sense of belonging is strongly associated with academic achievement and wellbeing. But, what is a sense of belonging, exactly? How can we describe, measure, and, importantly, create the right conditions to promote it?

This session will provide an overview of the current science of belonging by exploring assessment tools related to belonging and a survey of evidence-based and promising interventions applicable to the post-secondary environment.
